Chris Carpenter got the win, and CJ Wilson picked up the loss in Game 1 of the World Series. Carpenter was solid goin six innings, giving up just two runs. Wilson, pitched okay too, however Allen Craig hit a pinch hit ball just past right fielder Nelson Cruz to take a 3-2 lead in the game, and that held all the way until the end.
Game 2 is scheduled for tonight at 8:05PM ET; Colby Lewis and Jaime Garcia will start for the Rangers and Cardinals respectively.
