Here is an update on all players who should be in your line up!
1. Mike Vick (hand) - scheduled to start, but the injuries are starting to pile up. We need to see him finish a game before claiming he is an elite QB still.
2. Cedric Benson (suspension) - Benson said he expects to play in week 4 because he has not heard back from the league regarding his appeal to reduce the suspension. If you own Benson, stay tuned, we will have the official word on that in the coming days.
3. Antonio Gates (foot) - Gates did not practice Wednesday and is not too optimistic about week 4.
4. Darren McFadden (shoulder, groin) - RUN DMC practiced Wednesday, and it seems as if the injury is no big deal. McFadden has a history of injury so you might want to buy low on Michael Bush to handcuff your stud.
5. Danny Amendola (elbow) - Amendola expects to start in week 4. This is good news for PPR owners of Amendola AND for owners of Sam Bradford. Amendola catches a lot of balls and shuld help turn Bradford's horrible season around.
6. Marques Colston (collarbone) - expects to play. This should hurt the fantasy value of Meachem and Henderson.
7. Arian Foster (ankle) - expects to play and start in week 4. Coach Kubiak expects Foster to be good for the rest of the season as they were very cautious with his injury, and he is now 100%. Tough matchup against Pittsburgh this week though. Still a decent RB2 play.
8. Stevie Johnson (groin) - sat out practice on Wednesday, and could be limited in practice all year long with this lingering groin injury.
9. Ryan Grant (bruised kidney) - Grant had a bounce back game last week, but bruised his kidney in the process. Grant says the injury is no big deal and he feels fine. They are running more tests so we should have a definite sit/start answer for you later this week. He missed practice for precautionary reasons
10. Peyton Hillis (illness) - practiced in full on Wednesday and is expected to start in week 4.
11. Ryan Matthews (foot) - Matthews has a minor foot injury and was limited to individual drills in practice. Norv Turner claims it is not serious, but let's keep an eye on this one as Matthews finally seems to be pulling away from Mike Tolbert...but needs to stay healthy.
12. Frank Gore - can't even pin an injury to this one, but Gore is just playing horrible. Easily a top 2 round pick in 12 team leagues, most owners are shaking their heads at this pick as Gore, who is averaging 2.5 yards a carry, is suffering from the horrible play of his team, the 49ers. They claim is might have to do with an ankle injury, but Gore might have come to the end of his line as RBs don't last long in the NFL. Look at explosive rookie Kendall Hunter, as he could take over by the end of the year.
13. DeAngello Williams - another top RB who has failed to produce this season. He is simply be outworked and outplayed by Jonathan Stewart. Williams is nothing more than a desperation flex play at this point.
14. Darren Sproles - Sproles has been outstanding in the 'Reggie Bush' role for the Saints. He looks like a borderline RB1 in PPR leagues and he will continue to get the ball in the high power Saints offense. A great pick up in all PPR leagues, kudos if you got him.
15. Willis McGahee - McGahee is gettin a lot of touches, however, this is a case of the 'hot hand'. Between Willis and Moreno, whoever is playing better will get the ball. Not an ideal situation to be in if you own any of these guys. They should be bench guys anyways.
16. Phillip Rivers - sources are saying that Rivers might be playing injured. We will have more on this in the coming days.
17. Adrian Peterson - missed practice with a sore calf - just precautionary.
18. Denarius Moore - leads the Raiders in receptions and looks like a viable WR2 play, which you would never expect out of a Raider
19. A.J. Green - Green has been amazing this year, if you drafted him late in keeper leagues...kudos.
20. Mark Sanchez - passing a lot more this season, and finally looks like he could be a top QB in this league for years to come. Still early though...
21. Daniel Thomas - taken over the lead back role, we can almost certainly drop Reggie Bush.
22. Kenny Britt - placed on IR, out for season.
23. Donnie Avery - picked up by Tennessee to fill in for Britt, don't think he's worth picking up.
