The Philadelphia Flyers have lost defenceman Chris Pronger for the season and the playoffs due to a severe post-concussion syndrome. Pronger suffered a concussion in October, and managed to return for five games, but was sidelind again due to knee issues and is now going to have to sit out the rest of this year. Unfortunate for the Flyers, and for Pronger, because injuries like this could end a career.
It is a big blow to the Flyers who are already dealing with concussion problems with forward Claude Giroux, and are seeing their Stanley Cup hopes fade away.
